Something I realized when listening to this (listening is a very different thing than participating, believe it or not) is that we didn't discuss Corvina or Kat in terms of people who deliberately reject truth for their own view of reality. That ties in with what I've been reading in The Lord by Romano Guardini where he comments on Jesus' command to the apostles to "shake off the dust" of the places where the message is rejected. In essence, that is what Clay does. He doesn't insist they agree with the proof. He allows them to go their own way, without malice.
