Scott's all in black, with panther-like grace. Julie practices knife throwing. They both deal in lead, friend. Lead and talking about The Magnificent Seven, that is.

  4. Every single time I think of Charles Bronson my mind instantly slips to a certain Simpsons moment. You know the one?

'Now, let's take a look at a young Charles Bronson's brief stint replacing Andy Griffith in "The Andy Griffith Show"-

Barney - Where's Otis? He's not in his cell.
    Charlie - I shot him.
    Barney - Well that's... wha-what!?
Charlie - And now, I'm going down to Emmett's Fix-It Shop... To fix Emmett. *Cocks gun and leaves*
    *Andy Griffith Theme plays*'

No disrespect to the man, but that scene always sticks with me. And I can't stop laughing.

Thanks for reminding me of this movie, I haven't seen it in years. I should probably remedy that...

    1. We also think of The Simpsons but it's because the taxi driver always has his accent. I'd forgotten that scene ... which makes me laugh heartily every time.

  5. That's hilarious!

I watched The Great Escape this weekend - same director, some of the same cast, including Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, and James Coburn. Great movie!
